Transport, industry, trade, and diplomacy screens do not need to be visited every turn. When something in the world situation has changed you will need to change your orders on one or more of these screens. Generally, the industry screen requires the most attention of the four.
You will receive warnings from your ministers if the situation on one of these screens desperately demands new orders. Eventually highly successful rulers need to learn when to visit these screens before the situation is urgent enough to generate a warning from the ministers.
